Visa Requirements
Student Visa (Type D)
International students need to obtain a student visa to study in Mongolia. SSM Ulaanbaatar will assist you with the visa application process.
Required Documents:
- Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
- Completed visa application form
- Passport-sized photos
- Letter of acceptance from SSM
- Proof of financial support
- Health certificate
- Travel insurance
Visa-Free Countries
Citizens of certain countries can enter Mongolia without a visa for short stays. However, for studies longer than 30 days, a student visa is required.
Process Timeline:
- Apply 4-6 weeks before your intended arrival
- Processing time: 5-10 business days
- Register with immigration within 7 days of arrival
- SSM will assist with registration process
